TECHNOLOGY provider Falcon Global, which has a hub in Belfast, has been awarded a five-year contract to supply Zenator Systems software to a national oil and gas producer in the Gulf of Oman.
The Norwich-based company, which operates a technology base in Belfast, was awarded the contract for an undisclosed sum by Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) in Muscat.
It will involve the supply, training and implementation of Zenator Systems software which will help PDO control, track and manage ‘systems completion’ activities before the final handover of all projects across the company’s business units.
On completion of a concentrated programme of configuration, customization and acceptance testing in Belfast, PDO will then commence Zenator deployment in Oman.
“Winning this contract in the face of tough competition is extremely satisfying,” managing director of Falcon Global Ltd, Alan Mills, said.
“PDO is the largest oil and gas producer in Oman and are highly respected in the Gulf States. They really know their business so we are delighted they selected Zenator.
“With the oil price currently around $35 a barrel, these are tough times in the oil patch, so being awarded this contract is more important than ever.”
The specialized software was “key”, he said, to ensuring investors “receive expected returns” from their investment projects.
“Zenator does this in a progressive series of verification steps, helping customers complete to their projects to specification, on time and safely,” Mr Mills added.
“It is used worldwide across the energy industry, with many customers in the oil and gas sector. The software is also fully compliant with the American Petroleum Institute’s Recommended Practice for facilities systems completion.”
Operating since 2000, Falcon Global Ltd is one of the leading companies to have developed asset verification management systems across a range of industries, using Zenator Systems to deploy mobile technology for working wirelessly ‘in the field’.
