Chevron’s Jack & St Malo offshore project

Chevron’s Jack & St Malo offshore project

Case Studies
One of the genuine success stories we took an active and central role in was Chevron’s Jack & St Malo offshore project in the Gulf of Mexico, which came on-stream in 2016.  Zenator was the control tool in place from Design until Final Handover to Operations.  It is one of only a handful of projects where Zenator was used (by Chevron-trained specialists, not FGL Power Users or Super Users) in text book fashion to exercise full control over all Systems Completions activities, through Mechanical Completions, Pre-Commissioning, Dynamic Commissioning and Start-Up.  With so many moving parts and major risks to be mitigated at every turn, not least executing in a water-depth of nearly 1.5 miles to the seabed, JSM is rightly being hailed by Chevron as one of their great successes.…

Chevron delivers first LNG from Wheatstone

FGL News, Industry News
Alan Mills, President of Falcon Global commented on the milestone achieved in the Wheatstone project It took all of 5 years, which is not unusual for such large mega projects, but Wheatstone eventually got there, producing its first shipment of LNG. Falcon's involvement on the project was with the upstream offshore production facilities, not the downstream LNG plant.  Falcon are very proud of our involvement in helping bring Wheatstone to this major milestone and a step nearer to completion.  Zenator has contributed to the outstanding success of this landmark project. We continuously monitored all activities through design through construction and commissioning to final handover, ensuring the facility was safe, verified with no bottlenecks or built in faults. SAN RAMON, California -- Chevron Corp. has started producing liquefied natural gas (LNG)…

FGL News
Alan Mills (BSc Civil Engineering 1983) graduated from NTU 30 years ago but returned Friday 14 November 2014 during a business trip to the UK, to give a talk to Civil Engineering students about his experience in the construction industry in which they all benefitted from his interesting perspectives and career advice.  In the Summer of 2010, Alan relocated to Houston, Texas with his family to be closer to his largest customers and maximise the potential of the company’s flagship software product, Zenator. Before coming to Trent Polytechnic, as it was then called, Alan had entered the energy industry in 1975, gaining valuable experience and an introduction to commissioning with Brown & Root on major North Sea projects in Holland, Norway and Scotland.  After graduating from Aston Business School (MA…
